Frontera Collection ¡En Vivo! / June 22, 2023
This week’s program will feature a nicely curated playlist featuring and highlighting some well known and not so well known female duetos. Female Duetos existed across many musical genres in the Frontera Collection eco system. Many of these duetos borrowed from the American pop scene by teaming up with their sisters to form a vocal group and others paired up to complement individual voices. These pioneering recording artist songs went beyond the typical unrequited love declarations, but also lent their talent and vocal stylings to corridos which we will also play in this episode. Some of the duetos that will be highlighted will be Las Hermanas Mendoza, Las Jilguerillas, Dueto Rio Bravo, and Las Hermanas Padilla among other less known duetos. This is not to be missed!
