ARHOOLIE FOUNDATION COLLECTIONS:Major Collections
The Arhoolie Foundation archive is comprised of various rare collections. Most significant is the massive body of records, books, photos, papers, posters, and other artifacts amassed by our founder Chris Strachwitz over his lifetime as a fan, collector, and documentarian of roots and regional music.
In addition to the Strachwitz Collection, we have a few other unique collections and anticipate acquiring more as we grow. The pages below offer a glimpse into our major collections, and a sampling of the contents. Check back for updates as we continue to digitize our physical collections and share them here.
