Moise Robin Interview

I visited Moise at his house in Leonville where he lived with his lovely wife Mary. Robin had had a recent comeback playing music when he was approached by Farren Serrette to make a recording. He was also recorded in this phase of his life by French musicologist Gerard Dole. So he had recorded many new songs he had written and was full of life and generous with his time and his music. Moise was a frequent visiter to Savoy Music Center where he purchased some accordions from my husband Marc Savoy. He had told Marc the story of how he had murdered his wife and ended up in prison for 15 years. A while after I interviewed him he came to my house with his current wife and brought me three self recorded cassettes of him telling his life story in French.

These three cassettes were so beautifully told that I had to include an edited version of them in Volume Two. Here is the complete story.
