Chester “pee wee” broussard Interview, 1985

A cantankerous character with a heart of gold, this feisty friend of Marc’s is credited with several musical firsts in Cajun music, like playing a fiddle in standard tuning and playing an accordion in third position.

He was a wild man but a great musician and Marc played in bands with him back when Marc was young. I interviewed Pee Wee at his house and took portraits then he came to my house where I filmed him playing many songs while my three year old son Wilson rode his tricycle around Pee Wee in circles. Ah, memories…
